As we pursue our aspirations in life, it’s normal to experience highs and lows throughout the journey. With 2023 at an end, I’ve looked back at some of my aerial highlights of last year, grateful to have experienced the beauty of God’s creation, and to have the opportunity to share it with the world.

Over the course of 6 weeks and 2,750km, the riders of the TDA Hippie Trail cycled across India, experiencing first-hand the dynamic elements that make Indian culture so unique. In this vignette, cyclist Eli shares the value he gains from experiencing the world by bike, and cyclist Eric shares his perspective of why the Hippie Trail is different from other tours, and the specific qualities that make India a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Training for a fitness competition and half marathon, SaraMae developed severe low back and hip pain which sent her to the ER. Mis-diagnosed with sciatica, she suffered from full organ systems failure and wasn’t expected to live. “Then a doctor came and said we're going to have to amputate both your legs below the knees", said SaraMae.
Whether you or someone you care about has been through trauma or not, everyone can use a story like this to add light and hope to our world.
Amongst the lush, mountainous landscape of central and northern Greece, 2023 Odyssey riders Kristen and Katie share how cycle-touring exposes new ways of thinking, promotes mental and physical growth, and welcomes a sense of fascination and freedom.
